Boris Šerić, Commander of the Motorised Guard Brigade, congratulated the members of the Brigade on their anniversary and commemorated the fallen Croatian defenders, who should be kept in proud memory. Col. Šerić also pointed out that the Brigade was being built on the expertise and skills of the members participating in peace missions and on the experience from the Homeland War alike, which should equally be transferred to the coming generations.
Col. Šerić concluded his address emphasizing that the upcoming entry of the Republic of Croatia into the European Union implied enhanced contribution to common defence capabilities of the EU.
