Fifth CG Authorised Person Course Completed
The 5th Coast Guard Authorised Person Course ended in the Naval Training Centre in Split on 22 May 2013. At the completion of the Course, the attendees were addressed by the Croatian Navy Commander’s Envoy, Navy Captain Joško Šantić, the Deputy Commander of the Naval Training Centre, Navy Captain Boris Katičin and the Commander of the Croatian Coast Guard, Navy Captain Marin Stošić.
The Commander of the Coast Guard emphasized the importance of the Course for imparting of the expertise required for effective protection of the rights and interests of the Republic of Croatia at sea and also said that an advanced course in the matter would further promote the practical abilities of the unit and its procedure expertise necessary for efficient responding to the challenges placed before the Coast Guard and the rest of the institutions responsible for protection of the sea and the maritime zone.
The Course was organised for the fifth time and lasted ten weeks, with 27 servicemen, among whom Lt (N) Nenad Sikirica achieved the title of the best trainee.
