The objective of the Command Post Exercise “Weasel 19” was international co-operation and familiarisation and co-ordination of techniques, tactics and procedures within the Battlegroup itself and between the Battlegroup and the 15th Mechanised Brigade, aimed at development of defence planning and tactical conduct of the tasks. It was designed as an opportunity for the staff officers of the Battlegroup and deputy commanders of the participating companies to build experience in using the units during the simulated combat mission.

Captain Perica Vuković, assigned as Deputy Commander of the 3rd HRVCON to EFPBG-USA said that the participation in the Exercise was a highly useful opportunity to see first-hand the leadership styles of other components of the Battlegroup and for the entire Battlegroup to operate on one spot, and provided the overall overview of force and capabilities for the conduct of combat tasks and the role of the Croatian component in providing the fire support to the allied forces.
The HRVCON belongs to the Battlegroup Poland within NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence, assigned to the 15th Mechanised Brigade Gizycka of the Polish Armed Forces, with the United States as the Lead Nation.
