General Šundov delivers lecture for cadets
The Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces General Mirko Šundov on 28 February 2019 delivered a lecture titled “Croatian Armed Forces – the past, the present and the future” for the cadets of the Croatian Defence Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman”
The lecture was attended by the Commander of the Croatian Defence Academy Major General Mate Pađen, the Dean of the Defence Academy Colonel Boženko Đevoić and first, second and third year students of the Military Engineering, Military Management and Military Pilot (Aeronautrics) university study programmes.
General Šundov recounted the history of the Croatian Armed Forces, their mission and tasks, the development of the defence system and the ongoing tasks abroad and also addressed the intenational military co-operation and Croatia’s strategic partners. General underlined the improved living and working conditions and material rights for the members of the Croatian Armed Forces.
Furthermore, General Šundov also spoke about the manning, the education and capability building, the equipment and modernisation projects, responses to new demands and the transition technologies and reorganisation of the Croatian Armed Forces, and also recalled the recent successful Exercise “Velebit 18 – Joint Force”, testing the readiness of all components of the Croatian Armed Forces.
