Exercise scenario
“Jackal Stone 12” is the name of the international military exercise in which, besides the United States and the Republic of Croatia, nine countries participate in the exercise (the Czech Republic, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania and Slovakia) and seven countries have the observer status (Denmark, France, Finland, Great Britain, Canada, Slovenia and Hungary). The exercise will be conducted on the territory, waters and airspace of the Republic of Croatia and will host between 1800 and 2000 participants.
The exercise is conducted in order to support interoperability of special operations and to develop capabilities regarding planning and implementation of tasks in accordance with NATO procedures in the international environment.
The purpose of the exercise is to practice the preparation and implementation of special operations and response to crisis situations, as one of the tasks within the scope of the special forces, including Special Operations Battalion of the Croatian Armed Forces. The main objective of the exercise is to strengthen the “network” of special forces through the development of cooperation and mutual respect among its participants, by exchange doctrinal and training concepts, tactics and procedures of each of the participants.
